Bottega Veneta® Green
History, Fashion + Store Design, Branding, Pantone® & More
Happy Tuesday! Today I’m back at it again with a new luxury brand color case study, the saturated green of Bottega Veneta.
Psychology
Green is generally tied to vitality, growth, and balance. In this saturated form, however, it absolutely pushes beyond neutrality and declares energy, modernity, and confidence.
A Brief History
Also known as “Parakeet Green,” Bottega Green actually emerged quite recently as a brand color. The shade made its debut in 2021, a couple years after Daniel Lee took over as the brand’s creative director.
Lee wanted to redefine the brand’s minimal luxury identity with a single color, and landed on this bright green. And during the pandemic, it quickly became shorthand for the brand itself.

Within just a few seasons, it evolved from a fashion color trend into an identity marker. A strategic branding move in a luxury landscape full of monograms, Lee was able to make Bottega Veneta identifiable by color alone.
The success of Bottega Veneta Green cemented it not only as a fashion phenomenon but as one of the strongest examples of color-driven branding in the last few years.
And even after Lee’s somewhat unexpected exit in 2021, his green legacy at Bottega remains. Now let’s dive into how the brand has continued to weave their signature color through fashion, interiors, and branding since.
Fashion
Bottega Veneta Spring 2021 Ready-to-Wear
Let’s start with the collection where the shade became unmistakably central, when the press started to identify it as Bottega Veneta’s signature color.

Bottega Veneta Spring 2022 Ready-to-Wear
This 2022 collection featured full-look leather ensembles, accessories, and shoes drenched in the green shade. At this point, Lee had already departed as CD, but you can see the color clearly remained synonymous with the brand.

Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2024
Then in Bottega Veneta’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection, the brand’s signature woven bag appears in a half-green, half-black design. This is the most recent collection to spotlight their bright green from what I’ve found.
Store Design
In 2022, Bottega Veneta reimagined their downtown San Francisco boutique, revealing a sleek, minimal interior fully immersed in the green.
And here, you can see how the brand took its signature color to immersive extremes with this pop-up in China, also with every inch drenched in green.

Branding
Beyond the runway and past store design, the green was also naturally woven into their branding. The green’s usage across glossy triangular packaging and minimal campaigns only helped further secure the color as a visual logo.

Pantone® & More
Technically, Bottega Green isn’t officially copyrighted or trademarked as a proprietary color. So, if you’re interested in working with a similar green, a close Pantone match I found is PANTONE 347 C.
I’ve also included HEX, RGB and CMYK details below.
HEX: #00A94F
RGB: (0, 169, 79)
CMYK: 100, 0, 53, 34
Once again, thank you so much for reading, and hopefully you learned something new about this green luxury color today. If you enjoyed reading, please give this post a like so I know what you guys want to see more of :)
Or tell me, which color should I feature next? See you next Tuesday!
